AS Roma remain in the hunt for Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches.
The London Evening Standard says Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini met his Roma counterpart Walter Sabatini in London this week and centre-half Chiriches figured prominently in their discussions.
The 24-year-old Romanian only joined Tottenham from Steaua Bucharest last summer but was left out of the squad for Spurs' Europa League victory over AEL Limassol last night.
Chiriches is valued at about £9million and there is likely to be some haggling over the final price.
