Roma president Sensi under pressure from shareholders

Roma president Rosella Sensi is under pressure from shareholders.

The club is in turmoil after three consecutive Serie A defeats to Milan, Livorno and Udinese while fans protested against the squad.

For many months a hardline section of the Ultras have pushed for Sensi to sell up to new investors, but now the call is coming from her own board.

"Today I officially demand Sensi's resignation and the nomination of a specialist of this sector who has known credibility," shareholder Claudio Rossi Massimi stated during the meeting.

"I want the current owners to realise we are working with passion, not snacks. Lacking passion is a sin that cannot be absolved.

"We are the ones who buy the Roma product and have poured money into the stock market, for shares that have depreciated in value by 80 to 90 per cent."

Another shareholder, who identified himself only as Quinzi, was also furious.

"I am a simple butcher, but watching the game last night I made some notes. I want to publicly thank Luciano Spalletti, a true professional and gentleman, not one of those who climbed on the bandwagon.

"I want to know which genius decided to buy Artur, Pit, Simone Loria and Julio Sergio while selling many young talents like Daniele Galloppa, Giorgio Chiellini and Alberto Aquilani."
