Roma president Rosella Sensi admits yesterday's 2-1 derby win over Lazio was the first she had ever attended.
Since taking over as patron following the death of Franco Sensi, Rosella has superstitiously avoided sitting in the stands for the Derby della Capitale.
"It was so wonderful and everything that our fans dreamed of. It is only right that the President stands by her team and I thought of what my father would do," Rosella explained.
"Of course we were worried in the first half, but proved that we are strong and I saw the real Roma in the second half.
"I always expect a great deal from my players, but this is the victory of everyone, from the Coach to those on the bench and the directors."
Sensi also accepted the courageous decision to substitute Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi at half-time.
"I know these two men and they will not be upset. We all want Roma to win and what is best for the team, so they are at the disposal of the Coach."
