Roma president Rosella Sensi has welcomed Francesco Totti signing his new contract.

The 33-year-old talisman put pen to paper this week on a new deal that foresees him becoming a director in 2014.

Sensi said: "Yes, the signature has arrived, but we'll speak tomorrow with your Roman colleagues.

"The fact is the contract has been renewed, but I am happy and content."

Asked for her impressions of Totti's open letter to Roma fans declaring his love for the club, Sensi said: "It's beautiful, but he always says those things to me in person."
