AS Roma president James Pallotta feels Serie A has fallen into complacency.
He argues that many in Serie A have been guilty of complacency in the past.
"If you look at other Leagues around Europe, in Spain there are three big teams. In Germany there are two, in France there are one or two and in England maybe six.
"I think that in Italy there are six teams who could compete with anyone. Sometimes certain Leagues or teams rest on their laurels. This is the case with some Italian sides, who feel a sense of entitlement. You simply can't do that.
"We are working very hard, we need to do that every day. We have big plans but this is the way we need to operate every day. Now is the time to do it."
