Roma are stepping up interest in Toulouse fullback Jeremy Mathieu.
France Football says Roma had scouts posted to watch Mathieu in action against Olympique Marseille.
Mathieu is off contract in June and could join fellow Frenchmen Jeremy Menez and Philippe Mexes at Roma next season.
