AS Roma are ready to make a shock bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this month.Il Tempo says Roma sports chief Walter Sabatini met with directors Italo Zanzi and Mauro Baldissoni in Boston and was given the green light to launch a bid for a big-name striker.
Sabatini's priority is France international Benzema.
But his €30 million price-tag will mean Roma needing to find buyers for Marco Borriello and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo to fund a late summer market swoop.
