AS Roma are ready to use striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo in their bid to sign permanently Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.

Sky Sport Italia says there are problems in the negotiation process and another meeting has been set up for next week.

It is reported Roma have offered €2.5m to buy out Gago, but Real Madrid are holding out for at least €5m.

The Giallorossi could potentially bridge that gap by including striker Osvaldo as part of the deal.
