AS Roma have named Barcelona director Francesco Calvo as their new chief revenue officer.
Calvo moves to Roma with the relationship between the two clubs strained over Barca's deal for ex-Bordeaux winger Malcom.
The club's American owner James Pallotta gave a long interview to SiriusXM FC in which he insisted the only way for the Catalans to heal the rift was to give his club Messi.
Today 41-year-old Italian Calvo has been appointed as the new chief revenue officer, leaving Barcelona to take up the role.
“This changes nothing," Palotta joked in a statement via Roma's official Twitter account.
“We still want Messi!"
