AS Roma are ready to challenge AC Milan for PSG defender Mahamadou Sakho.
The France international is inside the final 12 months of his current deal and ready to leave PSG this week.
Milan have been regarded as favourites to land Sakho, but are putting off serious negotiations until they know whether they've qualified for the Champions League group phase.
Roma aren't hanging about and will open talks with PSG today for the defender, says Sky Italia.
