Manchester City fullback Pablo Zabaleta's move to Roma has stalled.

The Argentine was reported to be in Rome last week for talks with the Giallorossi and a medical.

However, Il Messaggero says negotiations have stalled, with Zabaleta's representatives now pessimistic over the prospect of a deal.

On their side of the table, there remains hope at Roma of an agreement being reached.

City won't stand in Zabaleta's way if he can settle on terms with the Italians.
