La Repubblica says Roma are reportedly lining up a shock move for Wanyama.

The Italian giants had hoped to sign Steven Nzonzi during the summer but have been so far unsuccessful.

And Wanyama has now emerged as an alternative.

Nzonzi is seemingly more keen on a move back to the Premier League than a switch to Serie A with Arsenal and Everton both linked with a swoop for his services before Thursday's transfer deadline.
