Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has paid tribute to sacked coach Rudi Garcia.

Garcia was axed by Roma earlier today.

Strootman posted on Facebook: "Mister, thank you very much for the support you gave me during rehabilitation and to have always had faith in me.

"You believed in me from the beginning and you brought me o AS Roma, and for this I will always be grateful.

"I wish to you, Claude and Fred the best for the future."
