AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman's recovery from knee surgery is on track.
Strootman snapped the anterior cruciate ligament during the game with Napoli on March 9 and was ruled out for approximately nine months.
"Today in Amsterdam, Kevin Strootman underwent a scheduled medical check on his left knee performed by Roma's head of medical staff Dr. Colautti and Prof. Van Dijk," read a statement.
"Five weeks after having surgery, the player showed himself to be in good condition and on schedule regarding his recovery."
