Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes is determined to repay the support of coach Luciano Spalletti.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Empoli, but has featured in both Serie A games so far this season.

“I have to repay the faith he gave me through my actions on the pitch," Paredes told Roma Match Program.

“I'll give my all. Everyone has to give their best for the team and also for the Coach.

“Playing in front of the defence? I haven't played that role much, but I was fine last year and I hope to improve from game-to-game.

“Working hard in training I can improve a lot, so for me it's very useful with my teammates in the role that we have in the team.

“I can improve a lot in defence, I think you can learn in this role every day."
