Roma midfielder Baptista admits Inter Milan move was close

Roma midfielder Julio Baptista knows he came close to signing for Inter Milan last month.

The Brazil international was targeted by Inter before they managed to land McDonald Mariga from Parma.

Baptista said: "They targeted me because they needed someone with my characteristics, but they didn't reach an agreement with Roma.”
