Roma medical chiefs believe Totti can avoid surgery

Roma medical staff believe Francesco Totti may not need surgery on his damaged knee.

"Francesco is doing very well and is continuing the rehabilitation process," explained Giallorossi chief medic Mario Brozzi.

"The knee has responded positively and doesn't even look as if it has been operated on. He is walking normally without protection and can even flex the knee.

"There is everything to suggest one of those record recoveries that Totti is already accustomed to."
