AS Roma have made a move for Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.
The Argentina international is available from Real and had hopes of returning to Boca Juniors, but his terms were out of reach for his former club.
Gazzetta dello Sport, says Roma are ready to step in and offer a move to Italy for Gago before next week's transfer deadline.
