Roma directors are planning a bid for Palermo striker Amauri for next season.
Corriere dello Sport says football chiefs Daniele Prade and Bruno Conti have made the Brazilian a priority target - and the deal won't hinge on any sale of Amantino Mancini.
Amauri is seen as the ideal striker to play in combination with Francesco Totti, though the Brazilian said today: "It's nice to see your name in the market news, because it means you're playing well.
"But for now, I just want to do well for Palermo."
