AS Roma have lost striker Mattia Destro for two months.

Destro will be out for around two months after he underwent knee surgery yesterday.

"Mattia Destro underwent surgery on his left knee at Villa Margherita today," confirmed a statement.

"The operation - a partial meniscectomy of the body and posterior horn of the lateral meniscus - was performed by professor Giuliano Cerulli in the presence of doctor Francesco Colautti.

"It lasted 20 minutes and was a complete success. The recovery period is expected to be approximately eight weeks."
