League-leading Leicester City are being linked with a cheeky move for AS Roma great Francesco Totti.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Foxes are considering making an audacious bid for the 39-year-old forward who has recently fallen out with Giallorossi boss Luciano Spalletti.
Rumours suggest that Totti could announce his retirement from the game at the end of the season but Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is planning to speak to the Italian legend in a bid to lure him to the King Power Stadium.
Totti played over 50 times under Ranieri at Roma between 2009 and 2011 and the Foxes manager is hoping his past relationship with the one-time Serie A champion and eight-time runner-up can be revisited in the East Midlands.
Leicester are fancied to produce at least a top-four finish in the Premier League this term and Ranieri wants Totti to help in their first foray into the Champions League next season.
