Juventus are set to win the race for Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick.

Il Giornale says Roma chief Monchi made an attempt for Schick this week, but has learned the Czech Republic youngster is set to join Juve.

The Bianconeri are on track to sign Schick after the Champions League final next week.

Juve will meet his €25 million buyout clause and hand Schick a five-year contract worth €2 million-a-season.

Despite interest arriving from across Europe, Juve GM Beppe Marotta is confident of closing an agreement with Samp inside the next fortnight.
