Roma have launched a bid for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Roma chief Walter Sabatini is attempting to negotiate a loan deal for the player to avoid paying the full transfer fee now.

Chelsea rate Zouma at €35 million.

The deal may involve an initial loan followed by a payment of the full amount.
