Roma goalkeeper Julio Sergio has confirmed he hopes to soon sign new terms.

The Brazilian comes off contract in June and has established himself as coach Claudio Ranieri's No1 this season.

"I'm waiting to renew my contract and things are going well," said Julio Sergio. "I want to stay a long time in Rome, then maybe go back to Brazil between 2013 and 2014.

"Being where we are is already a success, but we want more: there are still some points at stake and we will fight for the title."
