Roma goalkeeper Julio Sergio is calm about his contract situation.

The 31 year-old Brazilian becomes a free agent in June.

"I never played for three years. I started only recently. I hope to sign an extension, but there is still time," said Sergio.

"I know that I can still improve, but I think that I have shown my qualities and ability to play regularly. I also hope to play our next game against Atalanta.

"I have thought about leaving. At certain times in the past, I asked myself what would happen, but my family feel good here. I have a good relationship with my team-mates.

"I am very happy for myself at the moment. I have to continue working a lot."
