AS Roma goalkeeper Gianluca Curci has no problem battling for the No1 spot should Maarten Stekelenburg arrive from Ajax.
Curci, who returned to the club after a spell at Sampdoria, is confident that he'll get a chance to play in 2011-12.
"The competition for a place in the team doesn't scare me," the former Italian Under-21 international told Sky Sport Italia.
"I saw Stekelenburg play at the 2010 World Cup and he's a good 'keeper, but we'll have many games to play.
"We'll be playing in the League, in the Coppa Italia and in the Europa League. I'm hopeful that I will feature."
