AS Roma are inviting Manchester United and Arsenal to return to the negotiating table for Mehdi Benatia.Bayern Munich appeared favourites for the Moroccan, but have refused to meet Roma's £30 million valuation.
The Daily Star says Roma director Walter Sabatini was all set to fly to Munich this week to discuss a deal for the 27-year-old Morocco star.
But reports in Italy now suggest that the meeting has been cancelled, with Roma chiefs unhappy with the offer received from Bayern.
The German champs have offered £24m, while Roma value Benatia at closer to £30m.
Roma are determined to get their full asking price for Benatia and have held talks with Arsenal and United.
Sabatini and fellow director Mauro Baldissoni were in England last week and met with officials from both Arsenal and United as they attempt to cash-in on one of their prized assets.
