Former Roma defender Aldair is backing Edin Dzeko for a big season.
Roma have endured a difficult start to the campaign.
Aldair told Rete: “The defenders need to play more games together in order to assimilate the mechanisms and characteristics of their partners, but here were no major problems between Manolas and Fazio.
“Attack? A lot has been expected from Dzeko since he joined, he's not been able to unlock the door, but I believe in the Bosnian, he's always done well at other teams and I think he'll unlock it soon.
“Totti? I didn't expect him to be in such good shape, although he's always attentive to his diet.
“I thought he'd play up to 34-35, but we're all seeing that he can still play 30-40 minutes per game.
“Fans want players to leave everything on the pitch, and my team have always done that.
“Yesterday's defeat was unlucky because Roma could've stolen at least a point."
