Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny fears their title hopes are over.

Roma were held 1-1 by Genoa yesterday, leaving Juventus eight points clear at the top of the table.

"We lost the points because of the first half," Szczesny sighed, speaking to Roma TV.

“In the second half we almost deserved to win but we didn't do enough, we're disappointed. In the first half we got it wrong and they won all the 50-50s.

“They deserved it in the first half, but we went very close twice in the second half. The draw is fair.

“We know that Juventus won't drop eight points, we have to win all of our games and bring home this mini-trophy for second place.

“The League is over, in my opinion."
