Roma fullback Cicinho has welcomed interest from Barcelona, but is planning a return to Brazil.

He said: "My real intention is to return to Brazil. I don't feel happy in Europe and I talked it over a few times with [San Paolo President] Juvenal Juvenicio, but Roma won't release me.

"I was made aware of Barcelona's interest through the media, but I have received no official request.

"Naturally I am happy that a big club like Barça is interested in me, but there has been no contact and I continue to dedicate myself to Roma."
