Inter Milan are maintaining their interest in Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

Gazzetta dello Sport says while there was nothing to read into Aquilani's snub of coach Luciano Spalletti after victory over Genoa, there is a developing rift between the player and Roma's fans.

As the midfielder continues to baulk at settling on a new contract, there's growing impatience amongst the Roma support, which could spill over into abuse from the stands in the coming weeks.

Juventus have gone cold on Aquilani, but Inter remain keen and the player could agree to pen terms with Roma on the promise of being sold in the summer to the defending champs.
