AS Roma are closing in on a deal for Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.
According to reports from Spain, Kameni did not turn up to Espanyol's pre-season medical yesterday.
It's believed he is already in transit towards Italy, where he could sign a contract with Roma today, worth 1m per season.
"His arrival is probable," sports director Walter Sabatini said on Wednesday. "That means it is something a bit more than just a possibility, even if anything can happen in the market.
"Maarten Stekelenburg? He is a great goalkeeper, but the decision made was a technical one."
