Roma are eyeing Sunderland fullback Patrick van Aanholt.

The Dutchman has one of the few shining lights at struggling Sunderland this season.

TMW says Roma management plan to move for Van Aanholt if a deal for Lucas Digne cannot be completed.

Digne is on-loan at Roma from PSG, but no fee has yet been set about making the deal permanent.

Van Aanholt is expected to leave Sunderland if they're relegated.
