Roma are interested in Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu.
The Romania international has been in sensational form for the Viola this season and is also being followed by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Roma will move for Mutu if contract talks with Amantino Mancini fail to secure the Brazilian to a new contract.
Meanwhile, Roma fullback Max Tonetto is expected to sign a new deal through to 2010 before the weekend.
