AS Roma are keen to set up a fullback swap with Tottenham.

The Daily Mail says Roma have held discussions over a possible loan switch involving Tottenham left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Italy international Federico Balzaretti.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has expressed interest in Balzaretti, who can also play as an out-and-out winger.
