AS Roma director of sport Monchi admit they have mixed emotions after their Champions League draw.

The Giallorossi will be up against Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen in the group stage.

“It could've gone better and could've gone worse," Monchi told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have to respect all the other teams in our group. Real Madrid obviously are the reigning champions, CSKA Moscow have valuable experience and Viktoria aren't known to many, but are still very dangerous.

“We work for all the tournaments, trying to find the motivation for players to go as far as possible. There is hunger in the squad to do even better than last year."
