Roma determined to trump CSKA Moscow for Portsmouth fullback Belhadj

Roma plan to outbid CSKA Moscow for Portsmouth fullback Nadir Belhadj.

The Daily Mail says Roma hope to see off competition from Russia by making a £6million move for Belhadj.

CSKA Moscow are believed to have made a £4.5m bid last week and reports say Spartak Moscow are also interested in the Algeria international.

Belhadj's exit from Fratton Park seems inevitable, though he is reluctant to go to Russia and this week said a move to Spain or another Barclays Premier League club would be preferable.
