The agents of AS Roma defender Philippe Mexes are urging Arsenal to get serious about their interest.

France Football says Mexes' management have been in contact with Arsenal for a year about a potential move to London.

However, with Mexes soon to become available for pre-contract talks, Arsenal's interest has suddenly dried up.

AC Milan, Juventus and Chelsea have also been linked with Mexes in recent weeks.
