Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso admits it was a difficult decision to leave Inter Milan in August.

The Argentina international said: "At lnter I fared well, played often, Jose Mourinho wanted me in his squad and it would not make sense to change without good cause.

"Roma, in fact, was my reason to go: an important club, which I respect and follow always, with lots of players in a good team and organization ... My head told me that this was the right thing to do for the rest of my career. And so it was."
