AS Roma defender Mehdi Benatia says he didn't let himself go over the winter break.
Benatia says his total focus was on last night's clash with Juventus.
"I was meant to go away with my family, but a week wasn't long enough to prepare for the game with Juventus, so I stayed behind," the Algeria international told L'Equipe.
"The Coach had planned out a training regime for the festivities, but I returned to Trigoria earlier than expected to train with my other teammates.
"It was a small sacrifice that could pay off with interest against Juventus. I am trying to do my best in a great team.
"I've scored four goals already this season, but I don't consider myself the best defender in Italy. I can do so much better."
