Roma defender Antonio Rudiger is being linked with Chelsea.

La Repubblica says new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is hoping to sign Rudiger for next season.

The Germany international is currently on a season-long loan at the Stadio Olimpico from Stuttgart.

However, it is believed the Serie A club will take up their option to buy the 23-year-old on a permanent deal for €9m this summer, before then selling him on to the Blue for €20m.
