Roma defender Antonio Rudiger has cooled talk linking him with Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte looked to strengthen his defence during the transfer window and eventually settled for bringing David Luiz back to Stamford Bridge for £32million.

Rudiger was among the names linked with but any potential deal was scuppered when he suffered a serious knee injury prior to Euro 2016.

But he has made a swift recovery and started Roma's last two games.

However the 23-year-old insists he is not thinking about Chelsea and wants to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.

"I don't want to know anything about it - I'm staying here and that is that," Rudiger told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
