Roma consider cashing in on Man Utd target Kevin Strootman

Roma are considering cashing in on Kevin Strootman.

Calciomercato.com says the 27-year-old is yet to open contract talks with the Serie A giants.

It's suggested Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the midfield enforcer.

Michael Carrick could leave Old Trafford at the end of the season and Mourinho will need to source a long-term replacement.

Strootman has impressed in Rome since joining the club from PSV Eindhoven in 2013.

He's made 80 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals.
