AS Roma have confirmed midfielder David Pizarro is in talks with Manchester City.
Roma's general director Franco Baldini, who is also Fabio Capello's No 2, confirmed the deal was being discussed.
He said: "We are only negotiating with Manchester City for Pizarro. We will try to complete the deal before tonight."
