Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was relieved after their wobbly 3-2 victory over Genoa yesterday.
"We proved that we have real heart. After the equaliser my lads wiped everything off the slate and began again as if it was a whole new game," said Spalletti. "The result was fully deserved. We struggled, but Genoa play good football and are in great shape, so that was only to be expected.
"In games like this not everything goes according to plan."
The 3-2 win closes the gap on Serie A leaders Inter to just one point and it will remain that way if the Nerazzurri lose away to Atalanta tomorrow.
"We are just going forward along our route and are not interested in what Inter do," assured Spalletti.
