Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has paid tribute to Francesco Totti on his 40th birthday.

Spalletti says he'd buy him a time machine for his birthday.

"I'd get him the DeLorean from Back to the Future," said Spalletti to Sportweek.

“That way he could choose whether to go back and fill us with yet more wonderful moves or go forward and see what's out there for him."

Fabio Capello won the Scudetto with Totti in 2001 and has a similar approach.

“I'd give Francesco the opportunity to get younger, so we can always see him as handsome as his football."
