Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was left frustrated after defeat to Sampdoria.
Spalletti felt they were denied a late penalty when Edin Dzeko was brought down in the box, but incorrectly flagged offside.
“It was not offside. There's not much to say, because really that was not a difficult situation to read," he told Sky Sport Italia.
“The officials got distracted for a moment and misinterpreted the move. He was a metre and a half behind the line, it's a disconcerting incident, because that should be easy for the linesman."
He added: We lacked a bit of maturity. In the first half Sampdoria pressed us hard with a very high tempo. We should've kept the ball and made them run around a bit, but we didn't manage to do that. In the second half we came out better and took the game in hand, aside from those three minutes when we conceded the goals."
