Roma coach Luciano Spalletti is demanding his players step-up for tonight's Super Cup clash with champions Inter Milan.
"With the hard work we have done throughout the year, we have earned ourselves the right to contest - and win - this trophy," said Spalletti. "This, along with the result that had seemed to be going another way last term, can act as extra motivation for us.
"We have already shown that we are the equal of Inter and now that the squad has been completed I don't see why we should go there and give up before we even begin.
"Inter still have to work on some issues of their own. Chivu has some contenders for his place, but I think Mancini will use him because he knows us so well that it can be an advantage for them."
