Roma coach Luciano Spalletti was full of praise for Cicinho after last night's Coppa Italia quarterfinal victory over Sampdoria.
"Cicinho had a fantastic game, as he pushed forward down the wing and also regained possession many times," said Spalletti.
"We had some problems after the 1-1 draw in the first leg, as they played a bit more open and attacking.
"We had to reshuffle our defence, so the game remained in the balance. Now we'll get Philippe Mexes and Matteo Ferrari, plus a few others, over the next few days."
Samp coach Walter Mazzarri said: "The real shame is that we did not manage to finalise what we created. It is disappointing to go out like this, as in the first half we pinned Roma back and had chances throughout the match.
"There was also a goalline clearance and in terms of the performance we did deserve the victory."
