Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has defended the decision to gag the players after their victory over Reggina.
"I did not order the Press silence, I can only follow the orders that come down from the club. It makes little difference to me, as I am exempt and so have to talk even more!" grinned Spalletti.
"Clearly when a team doesn't get results, there is a tendency to twist words - on purpose or not - to create different meanings and problems.
"I didn't feel under attack. I know my work and what I have to confront. In sport so much can depend on minor factors and incidents."
